What happens during onboarding

Onboarding has four short steps.

Your first name and target role are required. You can skip the steps for adding applications and uploading a resume, and do them later. Select Back on any later step to return to the one before.

Step 1: Tell us about you

Enter your First name and your Target role, the role you are aiming for. Both are required. Kattia uses them to personalise your workspace. Select Continue.

Step 2: Add your applications

Start with the roles you have already applied to. This step has two parts.

Connect Google. This option is marked Recommended. Kattia finds your applications in your email and keeps every stage current. Kattia asks before moving anything. Select Connect Google. Kattia first shows a short Connect your email sheet that explains the Google screens that come next. After you connect, select Sync inbox. If the first sync adds applications, choose how Kattia handles new ones:

  • Keep adding to let Kattia add roles it is sure about and mark them Added from email.

  • Ask me first to review each one yourself.

Email connection is a Growth feature, and every account has Growth today.

Or add them another way. Select one of these to open it under the buttons:

  • Paste a link to import a job posting from its URL. Paste the link, then select Import from URL.

  • Upload CSV to select Choose a CSV file or paste rows that include a header row. Select Map columns, pick the company and role columns, then select Import mapped CSV.

  • Add manually to enter a Company, Role title, Source and Application status, then select Add application.

  • PDF to upload a job description as a PDF or plain-text file, up to 12 MB.

Select Back to methods to close the open option. Select Continue when you are done, or Skip for now to start with an empty board.

Step 3: Upload your resume

Drop your resume into the box, or select it to browse. You can upload a PDF, a Word document (.docx) or plain text, up to 12 MB. With a resume on file, Kattia can tailor suggestions, score role fit and prepare you for interviews using your real experience, without you retyping it. Select Continue to save it, or Skip for now to add one later.

Step 4: Welcome

The welcome screen suggests next actions: add your next application or import another batch, set a follow-up date on anything that has gone quiet, and work on cover letters and interview prep in your library. Select Go to app to open the Pipeline.

If you skip steps

Skipped steps do not block you. Later, you can:

  • Add applications with + Add application at the top of the Pipeline.

  • Upload resumes in My library, on the Resumes tab.

  • Connect your email in Settings › Connected inbox.
