Each card is one application, and each column is a stage in your search. Open it from Pipeline in the sidebar, or the Pipeline tab on a phone. On a phone, the pipeline shows as a list instead of columns.
The six stages
A card is always in exactly one stage. The columns run in this order:
Sourced: roles you have spotted but not applied to yet.
Applied: applications you have sent.
Interviewing: employers you are talking to, from a first screen to a final round.
Offer: you have an offer and are deciding.
Unsuccessful: the employer closed your application without an offer.
Ghosted: the employer stopped replying after you followed up.
Unsuccessful and Ghosted are the closed columns. On the board they show as narrow columns until you open them. To show them in full, select View, then Show closed columns, or select a narrow column. To narrow them again, select the hide button in the column header. In the list view, they sit under a Closed row that you can open and close.
When two or more applications are in Offer, a Compare offers button appears above the board.
The tag
A card can also carry the tag Viewed. The tag adds a signal to a stage without changing it. Read What do the pipeline stages and the tag mean? for how to set it.
Add an application
Select + Add application at the top right of the page. On a phone, select the + button at the top of the screen. You can also select + in a column header to add an application straight into that stage.
Header figures, filters and views
The strip above the pipeline shows:
active: applications that are not Unsuccessful or Ghosted.
overdue: follow-ups past their date. Select it to show only those cards.
due today: follow-ups due today. Select it to show only those cards.
reply rate: of the applications you applied to in the last 14 days that are still open, the share that reached Interviewing or Offer or have an interview logged. A dash means fewer than five applications count, which is too few to measure.
The figures describe what is on screen, so they change when a filter is on.
On a desktop screen, the Filter menu in the header narrows the board to Overdue, Due this week, Stalled or Interviewing. You can turn on more than one. Stalled means an application has been in Applied for 10 days or more with no activity and no upcoming interview. While a filter is on, a "Filtered:" line above the board names it, with a Clear button.
Next to it, the View menu switches between Board and List, and turns Show closed columns on or off. Kattia saves your filter and view choices to your account.
On a phone, the menu at the top of the list shows All stages or one stage at a time.
The Select button lets you pick several cards and move or delete them together.
Suggested roles
Suggested roles are not cards. They open in their own panel from the Suggested roles link above the pipeline. A role joins your board only when you select Add to board.
If you select Not interested on a role, you can also ask for fewer roles like it or hide the company. To review or undo those choices, open Settings › Suggested roles and go to Your corrections. To turn suggested roles on or off, use Show suggested roles on the same page.
Move cards
Drag a card to another column, or use the stage button on the card. Read How do I move an application between stages? for every way to do it.
