Add a resume
In the sidebar, select My library, then open the Resumes tab.
Drop a file on the upload box, or select the box to browse.
Wait for Kattia to read the file. Kattia confirms with "Resume added." and the resume appears in the list.
Kattia reads PDF, Word (DOCX) and plain-text (TXT) files up to 12 MB. Older Word files (DOC) can't be read, so save them as DOCX or PDF first. The resume takes its name from the file name.
Keep several versions
You can keep more than one resume, for example one per role track. When you have at least one resume, the upload box is headed "Add another resume variant".
To manage a resume:
Rename it: select the resume's name and type a new one. Kattia saves the new name when you move away from the field.
Set default: marks the resume that Kattia uses for its resume-based checks, such as Resume vs Role Assessment. The default resume shows a Default badge. Your first resume becomes the default automatically.
Replace: uploads a new file in place of this version and keeps its name.
Delete: select the bin icon, then select Remove to confirm. You can't undo this.
Choose clear names
Names that describe the role track are easier to find than file names. For example, "Product Manager - B2B" is clearer than "resume_final_v2".
Compare a resume with a role
On an application's Prep tab, Resume vs Role Assessment compares your default resume with that role. It shows gaps, keywords from the job description and suggested rewrites. The application needs a job description, which you add on the Overview tab. See Preparing for an interview.
Build a resume
Below your resumes, the Build a resume section (marked Beta) lets you start from scratch or import a resume, then edit it section by section.
Select Open builder.
To start from an existing resume, drop it on the import box or select the box to browse. Kattia fills in the sections from the file.
Edit the sections. Select Preview to see the result.
Select Save resume.
When you save, the builder's resume appears in your list as "Resume builder" and becomes your default resume. Saving again updates the same entry.
Privacy
Your resumes are stored in your account and are visible only to you. Kattia does not use your content to train public AI models. See How Kattia handles and protects your data.
