This article covers what to capture and where to save it in Kattia.
Write notes soon after the interview
Aim for within 15 minutes if you can. After a round you logged with a date, the Calendar page shows a reminder for up to two weeks. Its Log reflection link opens that round. Capture:
People: names and roles of everyone you spoke with, and what each person focused on.
Questions they asked: behavioural, technical and role-specific, plus your questions to them and their answers.
Your performance: which answers felt strong, which you would refine, and anything you want to review.
New information: details about the role, the team and the decision process that were not in the posting.
Next steps: what they said happens next, when you expect to hear back, and any follow-up you promised.
Where to save notes
You can save notes in two places. Use either or both.
On the application
Open the application and select the Timeline & Interviews tab.
Select Add round.
Fill in Date, Round, Format and Interviewer.
Add your notes in Summary, and paste a transcript in Transcript if you have one.
In the Library
In the sidebar, select My library, then open the Interview notes tab.
Select Add note.
If you want, choose an application in Linked application (optional) and set the Interview date. Linking an application fills in Company and Role for you.
Add a Title, such as "Final round debrief". Company and Role are optional.
Write your Summary (key takeaways, signals, next steps) and paste a Transcript if you have one.
Select Save.
Library notes are useful for multi-round processes (one note per round) and for comparing interviews across companies. Select a note to open and edit it. To delete it, select Delete note, then select Remove to confirm.
Save a round as a Library note
Rounds you log on an application with a summary or notes also appear on the Interview notes tab, under From pipeline. Select Save as note to copy a round into a new Library note, then edit it and select Save.
Use past notes
Before a similar round, read your earlier notes. Look for questions that came up more than once and answers that landed well.
Privacy
Interview notes are private to your account. See How Kattia handles and protects your data.
