How do I use the Calendar?

The Calendar shows the dates in your search: when you applied, your interviews, your follow-ups and, if you connect your email, events from your calendar.

It complements the pipeline by showing when things happen.

Open the Calendar

Select Calendar in the sidebar, or the Calendar tab on a phone. On a desktop screen, the page is titled Interview calendar.

Choose a view

A switch at the top of the Calendar has three views:

  • Upcoming: a list grouped into Today, This week (the next seven days) and Later. Select Show past events to see earlier events, and Hide past events to hide them again.

  • Month: the whole month. Select a day that has events to see them.

  • Week: the seven days of one week, starting on Monday.

In Month and Week, use the arrows to move between months or weeks, and select Today to return to now.

What appears on the Calendar

Each event has a type:

  • Applied: the date you applied.

  • Interview: an interview round you logged on an application.

  • Follow-up: the follow-up date on an application. Applications in Unsuccessful or Ghosted do not show follow-ups.

  • Calendar: an event synced from your calendar. Read the section below.

Select an event that belongs to an application to open that application. An interview opens on the Timeline & Interviews tab. In the Month and Week views, a synced event also has an Open in Calendar link.

Add an interview

  1. Select Add interview.

  2. Choose the application.

  3. Pick the date.

  4. Choose the round: HR screen, First round, Second round, Technical, Final or Offer call.

  5. Choose the format: Video call, Phone call, In-person or Assessment.

  6. Add the interviewer's name or role if you want to.

  7. Select Add interview.

If the interview is already logged on that application, Kattia says "That interview is already logged." and does not add it twice.

You need at least one application first, because every interview belongs to an application. Without one, the dialog asks you to add an application on the pipeline first.

Filter the Calendar

Select Filter. Under Event type, choose All events, Interviews, Follow-ups, Overdue, Applied or Calendar. Under Pipeline status, choose All statuses or one stage. Select Reset filters to show everything again.

On a desktop screen, Filter sits in the page header. On a phone, it sits next to the view switch.

Show events from your calendar

Connecting your email and calendar is a Growth feature, and every account has Growth features today. To connect, open Settings › Connected inbox and select Connect Google. Kattia asks for read-only access to your calendar events and never changes your calendar.

After you connect, select Sync now in Inbox sync or in Settings › Connected inbox. A sync reads events from your primary calendar, from 90 days back to 180 days ahead. When an event matches one of your applications, Kattia adds it to that application as an interview round, named after the event. Other events appear on the Calendar with the type Calendar.

Kattia does not write to your calendar. To see Kattia dates in your own calendar, add reminders there yourself.

There is no separate task list

The Calendar does not have tasks of its own. Dates live on your applications as follow-up dates and interview rounds, so each one stays attached to the work it belongs to.
